Angled Dovetail Chest Complete
I've just completed this small chest with angled dovetails all round. The panels are book matched spalted beech and the rest of the chest is olive ash with the feet painted black.
An 6 page article showing all the constructions and measurements will be appearing in Furniture and Cabinet Making magazine in due course.
The dovetails were all cut free hand using a wonderful Skelton Long Stroke Dovetail Saw (se last picture)

Wall Shelf Project
I've just finished this wall shelf for our hallway. It's made from book matched walnut and rippled olive ash.
The front edge has a tapering chamfer which was fun to do. The end to end book match was joined with Dominoes and the front support was located with dowels and screwed from the rear. The top was attached with dominoes and the whole thing was mounted with shop made brass hangers.

New Work Bench
I've been making a new bench to take to shows, I've got fed up with lifting a full sized bench in and out of the car. Although it's only 4' long it's got a 4" thick iroko top and a frame made from 3 1/2" square pine. It's as solid as a rock and perfect for dovetailing.
An article on the build will be coming in Furniture and Cabinetmaking magazine in due course.
