With Derek Jones leaving the magazine the big bosses at GMC have decided to change it's direction and format. It has more pages, less advertising and higher price tag and will only be printed every 8 weeks. The matt finish gives it an up market feel and it's much more of a coffee table magazine.
Much of the content is beyond the scope of a home workshop to produce, but interesting none the less. It's sure to divide opinion but I suppose only time will tell if it's a good move.
My article is very nicely laid out but they have decided omit the exploded drawings giving all the dimensions, which is a shame for those who would like to have a go at making the project.
Hi David, I gave up my subscription to F&C a while ago, I thought there were too many pages of tool auctions and antique furniture reviews, plus a massive influx of American contributors, probably more than Fine Furniture Making 😀.
