Dovetailed Chest.

Here's a chest made by one of customers, it took him a week, pretty good going.

He didn't tell me the wood, is it tulipwood? (not the Brazilian type I use for my mini smoothers)

Luke bought one of my dovetail guides a long time ago and used it to learn how to cut dovetails. He now cuts dovetails freehand without the guide and looks as if he's doing a great job!

  2. Hi Mr. Barron, the carcass of the top and bottom is tulip poplar and the darker top is country maple from the Amish in Ohio. I actually found a bullet, 50-60 years old, while I was planing it down. Really interesting and pretty stuff. Thank you very much for the kind words, I really appreciate it.
