Nice Toolbox.

I always like to see projects inspired by my work and this is a fine toolbox in ash and sapele with a wenge pull.

A nicely divided lift out tray, which I'm assured is a good piston fit.

It is on display in Yandles gallery with a price tag of £1,000 which is very reasonable for the amount of work involved.
Below is a nicely shaped handle, comfortable and no bigger than needed to do the job.                        Well done Shelton and thanks for sending in the pictures.

  1. Its on display at the Court House Gallery, Somerton, Somerset, along with other work by Bridgwater College Students. the tray is a nice piston fit. If you go to the gallery you can vote for your favourite piece, four finalists are then chosen, their work is then scrutinized by the Somerset Guild of Craftsmen Guild members, finally a top furniture maker/designer chooses the overall winner, last year it was Tony Portus of Cato Design and The Makers Eye. The prizes are associate Guild membership for all four finalists and a £300.00 cheque for the winner. I`m pleased to say I won it last year with a writing box I had made.

    1. Hi Mark, I go through Somerton each month, I'll call in and see the show. Well done winning the competition last year, I know the standard will have been high. All the best, David.
